The Analyst is responsible for the ongoing support and enhancement of PayPal’s Risk and Compliance Technology (ServiceNow IRM) under the guidance of the Risk and Compliance Technology Enablement Senior Manager and Program Owners

The Analyst will immediately support key initiatives such as:

  • Continuous enhancements and defect resolution to various IRM modules.
  • Draft requirements and execution of the entity risk uplift and/or velocity project.
  • Support platform upgrade testing.
  • Support data validation and analytics.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support design and development of PayPal’s tools and technology supporting Risk and Compliance, including ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management and internally developed solutions.
  • Define and document product requirements, user stories and epics. Assist in the prioritization of the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Work with users to assess their needs and new features or enhancements to continuously improve the platform.
  • Walk through product vision and specification with engineering and architecture – review the technical solution.
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, and design teams throughout the software development lifecycle – be able to resolve open issues, answer product questions and guide the engineering and development teams to building the right products.
  • Partner with an agile scrum team to execute on detailed requirements or user stories.  Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals. Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
  • Perform data analytics and validation to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Develops and executes functional and user acceptance testing to ensure development meets requirements and quality expectations.
  • Manage platform administrator (responsible for front-line support, administration, coordinating bug fixes, and generally supporting the Risk and Compliance Technology Enablement Product Managers).
  • Serve as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • ServiceNow IRM experience (must have)
  • Gathering requirements and story-writing 
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Proven product management experience, including defining and documenting requirements or user stories
  • Developed technical competency. In-Depth knowledge of in agile methodologies and ability to break them down into epics, user-stories and tasks
  • Experience and proficiency in the Financial Services compliance and/or regulatory environment
  • Sharp analytical ability and attention to details
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
  • Self-driven, ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain situations
  • Experience with data and reporting tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.) a plus
  • Project management training a plus

Nice to Have:

  • Risk & compliance program experience - concepts and terminology familiarity would be super helpful so it’s easier to talk to the business.  
  • Proficient Excel experience (analytics).

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant product management experience with an overall 6+ years total experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow IRM or similar GRC platforms is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of the financial services compliance or regulatory environment is required.


This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $53.22/hour-$71.00/hour
