About the Role
At PayPal, we’re on a mission to empower merchants of all sizes to grow and thrive through access to fast, flexible funding. Our Global Merchant Lending team is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead high-impact programs that launch innovative financial products and improve access to working capital.
This critical role will lead a wide array of programs focused on launching new products and enhancing our existing suite of merchant lending products, including PayPal Working Capital and PayPal Business Loans, all of which provide PayPal merchants the capital they need to grow their business.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex programs and projects by identifying tasks, managing risks, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Organize and facilitate planning activities to create and maintain detailed release and project roadmaps; ensure alignment across all delivery and business teams with enterprise planning frameworks.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Product Development, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute on the product vision and project objectives. Ensure the right resources are engaged and accountable at every stage.
- Define and manage clear gating criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders to drive Go/No-Go decisions with confidence.
- Facilitate issue resolution through structured forums such as scrum-of-scrums; proactively remove project impediments and unblock teams.
- Monitor the overall health of delivery, including tracking status, risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies. Act swiftly to mitigate risks and resolve roadblocks, ensuring consistent project momentum.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience leading multiple teams across complex software or product development initiatives, with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships in a matrixed, cross-functional environment spanning business, engineering, and global teams.
- Strong technical fluency with the ability to translate customer and merchant needs into actionable program requirements across the product lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of project management principles, tools, and frameworks, including expertise in planning, tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience working with a range of software development methodologies, with strength in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Track record of producing high-quality project artifacts to support large-scale technology implementations with concurrent releases and shifting priorities.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $59.92/hour - $79.90/hour
